How Long Will My Piece Take?

Every Matanai piece is handcrafted to order in our studio, made from the prints of the people and pets you love. Because each one is made just for you, here’s exactly what to expect, from your first click to the moment it arrives at your door.

🎄 Holiday deadline: To receive your piece by Christmas, your prints must reach us by Monday, November 23. Need a print kit? Please order by Friday, November 13 to allow time for delivery and return.

The Simple Rule

Production begins the day we receive your print.

Your timeline depends on two things: how you send us your print, and which piece you choose.

Step 1: Getting Your Print to Us

Already have a print? The fastest way

Hospital footprints, ink prints, and handprints or footprints from home all work beautifully. Just email us a clear photo or scan, and we can begin right away.

Need a print kit?

We’ll send you a free kit. We ship it the same day you order, and it arrives within 2 to 3 business days.

Print Kit (for handprints and footprints): take your prints, photograph them and email them to us.
Wax Impression Kit (for fingerprints and paw and nose prints): take your impression and mail the kit back to us.

Take your prints whenever you’re ready. Production begins the moment they reach us.

Step 2: Making Your Piece

Each piece is cast, engraved and polished by hand, and we never rush that care.

Step 3: Shipping to You

Every finished piece ships free, fully insured, via UPS 2nd Day Air with signature confirmation. We’ll email you a tracking number as soon as your piece is on its way.

Send a photo of a print you already have. It’s the quickest way to get started.
